~BLESSINGS~
"BLESSINGS CAN BE A LOVING SMILE,
OR EVEN A SOFT TENDER TOUCH,
A KIND WORD SOFTLY SPOKEN.
THESE BLESSINGS MEAN SO MUCH!
BLESSINGS ARE A SPECIAL FRIEND,
BEING THERE IN TIME OF NEED,
LENDING A HAND AND ENCOURAGEMENT,
BY DOING A LOVING DEED!
BLESSINGS ARE WHEN SOMONE CARES,
WHEN OUR LIVES SEEM TO BE ADRIFT.
BLESSINGS ARE HEARING A PRAYER,
THAT GIVES OUR LIVES A LIFT.
BLESSINGS ARE KNOWING OUR GOD IS NEAR,
OUR EVERY PRAYER HE WILL HEAR!
GIVING US COMFORT, INSTEAD OF FEAR,
TRUSTING HIM WITH ALL WE HOLD DEAR"

Sorry to hear of the lack of respect from the family of such a wonderful man. Sounds like you & your father had a great life together; made lots of great memories. Your father loved you and even though he was upset about the way the family disrespected his wishes while in the hospital; I'm sure he knew in the back of his mind the reason you did what he asked you not to do. He may have been frustrated and ill but at the same time he couldn't really blame you due to the circumstances. He loved you and I'm sure that deep down under all that anger he knew your heart was in the right place. So let go of the guilt. Don't let it consume you. Just hold onto all the good memories you two shared while he was alive. And think about what it will be like when you see him again, the joy you both will feel on that glorious day! When you see him you won't be thinking about what you could have done different No! You will only be enjoying that big glorious moment of seeing each other once again! So pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and begin a new life filled with the peace that passes all understanding. Don't let the ignorance of others bring you down. They are not worth it. Give it to God. Cast your cares upon him and he will make your path straight. If they are taking things off your fathers grave God will deal with them. It is not between you and them it's between them and God. All you can do is pray for them and others like them. Just strive to be happy. You deserve it!

"When it seems that our sorrow is too great
to be borne, let us think of the great family
of the heavy-hearted into which our grief
has given us entrance, and inevitably, we
will feel about us their arms, their
sympathy, their understanding."

Hey Dad, I wanted to add this to let you know I was thinking of you on memorial day and every day. Memorial day isn't as happy as it use to be with you gone. Just to let you know you are in my thoughts and heart and I'm eager to see your wonderful face in my dreams. In my memory I can still see you as the picture shows and I treasure the thoughts. I miss you so much....

I must say i am so glad i had you as a grandfather. I know you had a kind heart even if others didn't see it. Not everyone may have understood what kind of a man you are however i think i did/do. You showed me that if you work hard and try hard that you can get through life no matter what it throws at you. You impressed me by how well you handled franny's passing but never had a chance to tell you for worries that it would bring up sore feelings. One thing i am very greatful for is that you and my father became as close as you two did. I 'm not sure if you will ever know how much that truely ment to my dad he still talks about you often and i still enjoy hearing all about it. Even if he repeats the same stories i herd from you. They still make me smile and sure they will always. watch over us all some of us need it more than what it may seem. You will remain in my thoughts and has never left my heart. I will continue to miss you grandpa.

YOUR PASSING WAS SO SUDDEN. I HEARD ALL THE PROBLEMS AND BETRAYALS YOUR SON FRANK WAS FORCED TO GO THROUGH BY OTHER FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS, IF YOU WERE HERE I KNOW YOU WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM SOMETHING. YOU WERE GREAT WITH MOTORS. A VERY HARD WORKING,CARING MAN IN YOUR OWN WAY. I REMEMBER THE DAY YOU INJURED YOUR HAND AND THE BRAVERY YOU SHOWED EVEN WITH THE INTENSE PAIN YOU WERE IN. FRANK YOU WILL BE MISSED DEEPLY. A TRUE FRIEND
